Missions

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 1 Corinthians 3:6

Missions has been on my heart for a long time, but in 2019, everything became much more real for me when I took my first mission trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. That experience changed my life and gave me a deep sense that God was calling me toward this kind of service. Since then, I have spent a lot of time praying, listening, and trying to understand what obedience to that calling looks like in my life.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… “ Matthew 28:19

This is the Great Commission, the mandate we have as Christians to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This mandate applies to how we witness to people we interact with on a daily basis and to the unreached people groups of the world that we intend to seek out. No matter the location, this is the loving call Jesus commands of us. I’ve especially wrestled with how my passion for art and media fits into missions, and over time I’ve come to see that those gifts are not separate from the calling at all. They are part of how I can serve through storytelling, visual media, highlighting Kingdom work, and helping bring greater Gospel visibility to unreached people.

I soon realized that my love for media and my desire to uplift and encourage people, could be used to give the Gospel visibility! This revelation was made even more complete on a recent trip to SIM USA missions organization headquarters in the Summer of 2026 for their Connect event. Visibility by way of media can happen in many different ways, but the ways that have become more obvious to me are:

  1. Giving a voice and visibility to those who have a story to tell but no audience to tell it to—to inspire connections and support globally.

  2. Highlighting the work that many are already doing for the Kingdom and raise awareness. My hope is that this inspires prayer, support, and more workers (because as God told us—the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few).

  3. Sharing the gospel with unreached people by using media as a tool to do so—a conversation starter, the message of the Gospel in visuals, etc.

  4. Helping local Christian businesses to thrive in their business in order to make room for more connection for the sake of the Gospel.

I am excited about what this next chapter will bring! My goal is to bring visibility in projects the Lord leads me to, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you!

Thank you
